Magnetic particle inspection

Magnetic particle inspection is a non-destructive method and is used to identify and detect defects in materials, regardless of their size, shape and method of creation. This method allows to detect various cracks, hairs, irregularities, defects on threaded connections and hard-alloy coatings of drilling equipment. The magnetic particle inspection method is based on the properties of magnetic particles, which are used to concentrate them where the inhomogeneity of the magnetic field is manifested. Field inhomogeneity is caused by cracks and other defects on the surface of the material.
